This project was a mixture of cedar weatherboards at the top and cement fibreboard cladding with cedar battens at the bottom. The weatherboards were generally in fair condition but had been stained and were faded.

We generally recommend painting the weatherboards on these houses as a long lasting maintenance solution. A paint system should last 8-10 years, whilst a stain should be reapplied every two years. We painted all areas of the house in Resene Lumbersider after fully priming the timber prior to overcoating. The front door was painted in Resene Lustacryl Waterborne Enamel.
