Painting Monolithic Townhouses in Wellington

Painting Monolithic Townhouses

This project was for a body corporate and consisted of painting 20 monolithic townhouses in Wellington. These townhouses were needed work done to the:

  • Monolithic texture and aluminium windows.
  • Timber barge boards, stained tongue and groove eaves.

Preparation

Before we began some preparation work was needed. We found that the awnings over the door ways were compromised with some rot in the timber. To deal with this, we organized our builder to make repairs to the awnings where required. To prevent future ingress, copper soakers were attached to all the corners. The property was washed down and all monolithic texture on the houses and fences was recoated with Resene X-200 in Acropolis and Napa.  Front doors were painted in Resene Lustacryl Milk Chocolate. Awnings, gutter fascias and barge boards were painted in Resene Stromboli.
